About COLONIAL FENCE CO INC

Colonial Fence had its beginning in 1974 in Millis, MA, and since that time has gone through many changes but - our one goal to build truly superior fence products has never changed. In the beginning we purchased fencing material from large wholesale distributors, each with different manufacturing standards. Dissatisfied with the available quality, we opened our own small manufacturing shop in Bellingham, MA in 1978, and began to build a reputation as a premier wood fence contractor and installation company in Massachusetts and throughout New England. By the mid-1980's, Colonial Fence was specializing in a variety of custom cedar fence products and supplies, moving ahead of the industry in quality standards, fence design techniques and fence installation practices. By the end of the century, a different type of product was starting to emerge as a viable fence product, vinyl (PVC), which was used widely in the siding and window markets. We at Colonial Fence watched this development with some interest, but considered the only vinyl fence products we saw on the market to be very low quality by our standards. By 2001, the quality of vinyl extrusions had improved greatly, and Colonial Fence decided it was time to move forward with our own line of high quality vinyl. The response was overwhelming and by the spring of 2003 we saw the need to expand. It was also a time that saw the next generation taking a serious interest in preserving the family business. In the spring of 2004 we opened our new, state-of-the-art 18,000 sq. ft. facility on six acres in Norfolk, MA, giving us the largest manufacturing capacity of wood fence and vinyl fence in the area. As a family, we are committed to our founding principle of building truly superior fences one customer at a time and that one simple approach has worked well, earning us a sound reputation for total customer service and satisfaction.
